Yankees win and lose
The New York Yankees split their games today winning the game at Joker Marchant Stadium but losing the game at Legends Field in Tampa. There was good and bad news in both games. First the bad. In the game against Detroit, Joba Chaberlain got rocked giving up 3 earned runs in 3 innings pitched. It hasn’t been a good spring for Joba. In the game against Tampa, Kennedy gave up 2 home runs in 3 innings pitched although both home runs seemed wind aided. Igawa was absolutely terrible and I’m not sure he could pitch in the major leagues. He gave up 3 earned runs in 3 innings.
The good. In the game against Tampa, Gardner, battling for the 5th outfielder position went 2 for 3 with one stolen base. In the game against the Tigers, Cabrera went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored.(Thanks to Ross from http://nyystadiuminsider.com/ for the correction)

No, you’re right. Thanks for the correction. I swore I read at a fantasy site some where that Meklky’s job wasn’t safe.

I think you are referencing the comment by Cashman saying that Melky needs to prove that he is the CF’er of the future and that nothing will be handed to him
