Alex Rodriguez is 10 for 23 with four homers in the past seven games and has homered in four of his last six games. He has been on fire lately. What we’re seeing from A-Rod is the A-Rod we know that hits great in the regular season and helps us win in the regular season. You have to win regular season games to make the playoffs so him hitting well is a great sign for the Yankees.

The most amazing thing about this year’s regular season A-Rod is that he is getting clutch hits. Him hitting well will also allow Mark Teixeira to see better pitches. It all falls in line. He is hitting very well with his lower half and his swing is perfect mechanically.

A-Rod was 1-for-27 during one stretch so Girardi gave him two games off. It seemed to have helped him mentally which was what the two days off was supposed to do. He also has more energy because he doesn’t hit in the batting cage before games like he did so he’s more rested. He feels good.

You know I’m not a big fan of A-Rod but if he’s going to hit like the regular season A-Rod we know then I feel good. At least we don’t have to deal with the playoff A-Rod, yet…
