Awesome, Our Farm Helps Beat The Mets
The New York Yankees beat the New York Mets by a score of 9-1. Starting for the Yankees was C.C. Sabathia and he got the win.
Wow! Look at all of our players from the farm tonight. They all did great. Gardner, Melky and Pena went for a total of 9-for-14 with six runs scored. Do you believe that the Yankees hardly pay these guys and they were the most important parts of the game tonight? They provided a lot of energy.
What more can I say about Brett Gardner? He was my favorite player last year but now he’s really my favorite player. He has so much speed that he makes stand up doubles look easy. When he hits the ball in the corner, you know he’s going for a triple and going to make it. The more he continues to play, the more he seems to adjust and respond.
Joe Girardi has to play Gardner more instead of using him as a platoon player. We need to know if he can continue to play at this level. Imagine that though? I gap hitter with amazing speed? And he’s on the Yankees?
Here’s something to think about. The Yankees scored nine runs in a national league park where it’s hard to hit home runs. Alex hit one and little Brett Gardner did too. Maybe the Yankees are just great hitters and there is no wind tunnel at work at the new stadium? No, don’t think so. Still, the Yankees are great hitters.
A-Rod was putting on a defensive “clinic” out there tonight. Did you read what I just typed? A, “clinic.” He was making plays all over the field.
C.C. Sabathia was great even though he was pitching against a bunch of bench players. This is why he probably threw fastballs all game. A lot of his pitches were fastballs early in the game with a nice combination of fastball, change up and slider a little later. The ball was coming out of his hand very loosely. He only made one mistake when he hung a slider to Gary Sheffield.
He had great velocity. I mean great. He even hit 98 mph.
The Mets made a lot of errors early in the game and looked like a bunch of soft-tossing softball players in the field. CC was pitching quickly, effectively, aggressively and all the Yankee infielders were on their toes but the Mets weren’t and played a sloppy game behind starter Mike Pelfry.
Player of the Game: Brett Gardner. Just look at these numbers and tell me you don’t think he deserves player of the game… 5-for-6 with three runs scored and two RBI, a home run, a triple and a stolen base. Just think, I have him on fantasy and didn’t start him. Ugh!

Honestly, if you don’t think the home run numbers our out of whack at yankee stadium you are far dumber than I or anyone gave you credit for.

Dear moron. If you read what I typed, I said, “Maybe the Yankees are just great hitters and there is no wind tunnel at work at the new stadium? No, don’t think so.”
Go buy a clue.

Yes, Rick, the Mets are hurt but the Yankees still had to beat a professional baseball team.

Brett Gardner is my favorite player. I also forgot to start him today in fantasy baseball. They need to give Gardner more playing time so he develops more.
