Mike Francesa disses Mad Dog at Super Bowl
A “Real” Diva
Mike Francesa is a leading sports personality who has his own radio show on WFAN radio in New York City.
He also has the YES network, which is owned by the New York Yankees, air his radio show on TV.
At the Super Bowl, they have something called Radio Row where everyone from radio and the media are lined up.
Mike Francesca should have done his show on Radio Row.
If anyone tuned into his Super Bowl show, you saw him doing his show at the Hyatt Hotel holding an umbrella. He was holding an umbrella because there was a leak in the roof.
There was a reason why Mike wasn’t at Radio Row and was at the Hyatt hotel instead.
Mad Dog Chris Russo.
Chris Russo was at Radio Row and according to my very good inside sources, Mike did not want to be in the same room as Chris Russo. Mike demanded that the YES Network hold his show from his hotel room at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
If you remember Mike’s first show without the Mad Dog, Mike was talking about how it was a sad occasion without the Dog. While talking to Mr. Russo on the phone, Mike told Chris Russo how he was going to make Mike cry and that he could never pay Chris Russo back for those 19 years.
Was that all a lie? Was Mike being a phony?
After all the memories they had together and all the great times they had with each other’s families, this is how he acts towards Chris Russo?
Mike was with the Mad Dog for 19 years. Was it too much for Mike to say hi to the Mad Dog on radio row? Water coming through the roof is not enough to get you out of your hotel room and into a space where you belong in the first place?
What was the Mad Dog going to do, bite his head off? Well, he is the “dog.”
It seems to me that Mike was acting like a real diva during the Super Bowl pregame. A drama queen.
Like the Mad Dog Chris Russo would say, “What a disgrace.”
Some random notes
I watched the Super Bowl and it was very entertaining. I hope every Super Bowl could be like the last two we just had.
My mother, who is a hair dresser and is into fashion, told me that she believes that Bruce Springsteen had botox on his forehead and had a spray on tan. This is my mother talking. There is no proof whether this is true or not.

Some people do like him but some don’t.
Some people will say that they don’t like him but listen to him anyway.

Mike and Maddog always broadcasted from the Hyatt – right by the bird cage – so your good sources – seem to not know their history

I listened to Mike and the Mad Dog for all of thier years together all the way on Cape Cod. Life long Yankee fan. Russo brought more color to that show, as we now see Mike alone is nothing but a HUGE faliure. I used to like this guy. He s aweful, and his views are aweful. Ignorant and pompass to callers. Bring back RUSSO!! or get 1050 a better signal for me.

I agree Mondo. I miss Russo. Mike is boring by himself. His jerkness towards callers worked because he had Mad Dog next to him and it made it funny but without the dog, he is not funny.
