Yanks use “the catch” and formula to beat Orioles 3-2
Yankees win 3-2
Brett Gardner made an awesome catch in the bottom of the 4rth that saved 2 runs. He jumped on top of the wall and robbed Luke Scott of the Orioles. It was great and that’s why youth is best served sometimes. I thought Pavano pitched pretty well. He got the win. It looks like some one will pick him up next year. Then the Formula took over the game which is Joba to Mo. That worked great and when the Yankees use the formula, you are done. Teams can’t beat the Yankee formula. Too bad the Yankees had that one bad stretch during the year or they’d be right in the playoff race with the way they’ve been playing as of late. I think that if the Yankees keep trying to win it will make fans like myself more excited for next year. There was a time when it looked like the Yankees threw in the towel. The Yankees didn’t throw in the towel and you have to give Girardi credit for that. If the Yankees keep trying to win, then that last series against the Red Sox will be very exciting because you know the Red Sox will be playing hard to catch the Rays in the standings. I also thought that was pretty cool the way Mariano looked at Pudge when Pudge caught the pop up to make the last out of the game.
