Jeter gets record but Yankees lose
Yankees lose 6-2
I’m sure Derek Jeter would rather make the playoffs then get the most all time hits at Yankees stadium that will never be broken. That was the highlight of the night, Jeter getting the record and it was fun to watch. I enjoyed that. That’s an amazing feat. I’m happy to have watched Derek Jeter play baseball in my lifetime. I’m sure Austin Jackson might be the next candidate to get the most hits at the new stadium but that’s a different topic for a different time. The night belonged to Jeter but Yankees did lose. The Yankees played a first place team and it showed. They are not as good as the White Sox when they should be especially with the lineup the Yankees have.
Pettitte gave up 4 earned runs on 6 hits in 6 innings of work for the loss and I hope he doesn’t come back next year. He is not a pitcher the Yankees need. Girardi said that the Yankees couldn’t solve Galvin Floyd. It would of been good to hear the opposing manager say, we couldn’t solve Andy Pettitte.

This game is still on my DVR unwatched. I’m going to enjoy the Jeter hits but I’ll enjoy Gardner’s even more, along with his pilfered bases.

You will really enjoy Jeter’s game. It’s worth watching even though the Yankees lost.
