Yankees win 7-4

Yankees are 7 and a half games back behind Boston. They can’t afford a slip up against the Mariners tomorrow. If only the Yankees could reach in and grab some of that late 90′s team magic. What’s sad is that it’s 10 years later when the Yankees had the best team of all time and this decade is almost over and the Yankees have no World Series titles. I’m getting a little worried here. The game tonight was a game the Yankees should of won against an inferior opponent and I expect no different tomorrow. Today I said I didn’t want Bobby Abreu on the team but he really can hit. I’d really like to have new blood on the team and this is because I’m a prospect freak. You have to groom winners. It’s hard to show some one how to win when they lose. I’ll do this blog tomorrow even though football will be on all day. I’ll admit, I’ll be switching back and forth a lot.

I’d like to interview these umpires and ask them what they are saying when they call a strike. No way does, “HAWWWT,” sound like, “strike.”

That was a lucky catch against A-Rod. He robbed him.

That was a great hustling play by Bobby Abreu. Safe at first.

It’s amazing what Ruth did with those hits.

Jeter is going to pass the Babe very soon with hits.

Not only do the Yankees have to worry about the Twins, Boston and the Rays, they now have to worry about the Blue Jays.

What’s with all these hurricanes as of late. We’ve been getting one after the other. At least we won’t have a drought.

That Alfonso Soriano has been destroying the ball as of late.

Make that stolen base number 28. That was a nice steal of third.

Damon has 27 stolen bases? It doesn’t seem like it. That’s a lot.

I never understood why a pitcher leaves the dugout after he comes out of the game. Wouldn’t that show he’s not part of the team?

Nice block by I-Rod on the throw to second but the Mariner pitcher did a good job. He’s out of the game.

I can’t believe it. I was just going to say, watch the best hitter on the Mariners hit a home run against Ponson because Ponson isn’t really that good. 3-2 Mariners.

Starting Monday, 3 games against the Angels and then 3 games against the Rays. That’s a tough week.

If anyone in the league would be able to threaten DiMaggio’s 56 game hitting streak, it would be Ichiro.

Ichiro is only batting .310. WTH.

I know what I’m having to eat after this game. A nice taylor ham and bagel.

Giambi with the smash home run. 2-0 Yankees. That was a really nice shot. You heard the crack of the bat.

I should of done a football picks thing today. When I just had my brain injury, I was awesome at picking games. I beat every one almost every week and always won at the end of the year. Now that I’m almost normal, I’m not that good at picking games.

This game might be over before 12:15.

This is a close scoring game. I thought the Yankees were starting to get to the Mariners pitcher.

That hurricane really wiped out a lot of games today.

This is the perfect team for Ponson to pitch against.

Federer won easily today. If he plays Nadal, it will be quite a battle.

If there was no shift, that was a base hit. The infielder fielded the ball in the outfield. That’s crazy that they play him there and he keeps hitting it to them.

Bases are juiced and Giambi is up. I can’t guess what he’s going to do.

My uncle Bill would laugh hard at that name I just gave Sidney. “Ponsony.” He’d say, “Ponsony?” “Ponsony??”

I play in a fantasy football league and every year I come in either last or next to last. I’m hoping this year is different.

That cave man from the Geico commercial looks like Val Kilmer.

Supposedly, this pitcher the Mariners have starting is supposed to be pretty good.
