First-Round Pick Gerrit Cole chooses College Over Yankees

I can’t believe this. I’m so upset right now. While every blogger in the free world reported that Cole chose college over the Yankees, I was stuck doing minor league reports all night. It’s SO frustrating because the minor league reports take too long and I just finished and it’s almost 7:00 AM in the morning. While I’m doing the reports, I just focus on them and I’m not able to read about other Yankee news. UHHHHGH!!! Anyway, this guy has Boras as his agent and he doesn’t sign with the Yankees? Do you know how much money he could make? He’s even a Yankee fan as well. This doesn’t make any sense. There has to be more to the story than what was reported.

    1. That really doesn’t make any sense. I bet Boras is mad.

    2. yeah you were a little late to the cake, AGAIN!

    3. Well, hopefully, Gerrit Cole made this decision to play College Ball, “for all the right reasons” !!!

This seems like it could be a “ploy” by Scott Boras, to try to get “more money” from the Yankees, that will put more commissions into Boras’ pocket. Scott Boras will always lead ballplayers “down the wrong path” – just to extort the most money [he can] from the Baseball teams.

Free Agency, and Player Agents, such as Scott Boras [and, his ilk], have ruined the “Great Game of Baseball”. It has been great for the players, and their agents; but, let’s not forget, “it’s the fans that are paying for all this greed” !!!

Who could have imagined tickets costing $2,500.00 per seat, for one game, for the best seats, that the Yankees are planning on charging next year at the new Yankee Stadium. And, the cost of everything related to “all teams” is just as ridiculous and outrageous throughout all of baseball !!!

Gerrit Cole, hopefully, made an honorable decision to attend college over going into professional ball at this stage in his life. Maybe college life will teach him a major lesson before he starts his professional baseball career. The lesson: “get rid of Scott Boras as his agent, so when he does enter professional baseball, it will be a clean path – free of guilt and greed” !!!

    5. Jimmy, I think that Boras single handedly made baseball the biggest contracts in all of sports especially with A-Rod. It all started with that ridiculous Texas Rangers contract. Also, Jimmy, if you have a blog up, I will comment on it. You do great work and it’s only fair that people comment on it. Also, Jay, I don’t know what your blog is. Tell me and I’ll click on your ads if you have google ads up.

    6. Hi, Admin …

Thanks for the kind words !!!

Yeah, Scott Boras has not been good for “Baseball”. I think even though Boras gets huge contracts for the players he represents, maybe these deals are not always in the players best interests. In my view, Boras leads players into situations, and baseball cities, that they may not really want to play in. The money is great [for the players], but “money is not always, everything, or the only thing that matters” !!!
