Yankees lose to the Twins with Cano’s head in the clouds
Yankees lose 4-2
The Yankees lost to the Minnesota Twins by a score of 4-2. Starting for the New York Yankees was Darrell Rasner and he gave up 3 runs on 4 hits in 5 innings of work for the loss but 1 run was unearned because of an error by second baseman Robinson Cano. Dan Giese came in for Rasner but didn’t get an out giving up 1 earned run on 1 hit. Replacing Giese was David Robertson and he pitched 2 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit. Billy Traber and Brian Bruney combined to pitch a scoreless 8th inning with only Traber giving up a hit.
The hitting stars of the game for the Yankees worth mentioning were no one. The Yankees don’t care to win so I don’t care to give them any hitting stars.
I really have no right to comment on this game because I got home from program during the 8th inning but I did see some highlights and I saw the last 2 innings and after what I’ve read and highlights I’ve seen, it allowed me to see what went wrong.
The Disgraceful Player of the Game for the Yankees for the second day in a row was Robinson Cano. He’s making errors that lead to runs, he comes off the bag during a potential double play, he doesn’t communicate with Betemit on who should of covered during Mauer’s stolen base and on top of it, he showed no emotion after that play. This guy brings the word disgrace to a whole new meaning. Alex Rodriguez did choke during the 8th inning with 2 men on and 2 men out but if the Yankees have quit this year, Cano exemplifies everything wrong with what this team is about. Not only is that a disgrace, but a nightmare.

I feel you are right Baby even if there is hope left because of not being mathematically eliminated but in my mind they are done.

I’m listening to Mike and the Mad Dog and just Mike is on and he’s not talking about the Yankee game. It would be nice to hear his opinion or fans that call in their opinion.

On a road trip that the Yankees needed to go [at least] 7-3 … They finished up the 10-game trip, at 3-7 !!!
That kind of tells most of the story of which direction the Yankees are headed at this point.
With 41 games remaining, the playoffs are looking further and further, away !!!
