Yankees lose to the Twins 4-0
Yankees lose
The New York Yankees lost to the Minnesota Twins by a score of 4-0. Starting for the Yankees was Sidney Ponson and he gave up 4 earned runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings of work for the loss. Edwar Ramirez faced one batter in the 8th inning and struck him out. The hitting stars of the game were no one. The Yankees scored no runs.
The Disgraceful Player of the Game for the Yankees was the Yankee offense. I’m sure between Jeter, Bobby Abreu, Alex Rodriguez and Ivan Rodriguez that they make more money collectively per year than whole teams do. For them to score no runs off a pitcher I’ve never heard of and with a 4.18 era is not only a disgrace, but a nightmare.

Did you seriously just say Abreu was the disgraceful player of the game?! are you out of your fucking mind? He was 2 for 4 and had half of the Yankees hits.
Also are you kidding me? you must not be a baseball fan if you have never heard of Glen Perkins. I am seriously starting to doubt if you even watch the Yankees play because Perkins pitched against the Yankees on July 23 at the stadium.

Jay, how many runs did the Yankees score? A big 0. Thank you very much. Now go back to sleep.

How many times have we seen this “pitcher you have never heard of” this year? That would be 3 times. You can go back to living under a rock.

I agree with Jay, just because you have a blog, it does not mean you’re a fan, you’re a wanna be fan, teams get shut out, it happens often, you can’t decide people are a disgrace game by game when there are 162 in a season, you can’t possibly perform day after day.

You’re right Uke but there were some disgraceful players of the game yesterday.

Bobby Abreu wasn’t one of them but he was lumped in because of his salary?

Here’s the bottom line Uke, the Yankees scored, 0 runs. Nada. Zip. Did Abreu’s 2 hits contribute to any runs scored? How about an rbi? Where any of his hits rbi’s? No, they weren’t. The idea is that the whole offense was disgraceful.

It’s not Abreu’s fault that the people in front of him could not get on base, it’s not his fault the people behind him didn’t drive him in, he did his job, make contact, and get on base, the disgraceful blogger of the year goes to you.
