Man, Mussina has been brilliant, even on a night tonight when he had to escape trouble. Good to see Jeter hit well. he just looked fresher and quicker than in recent games–heck, weeks. Nice to see Marte bounce back, really embarrassing Catalanotto with the K.
I really wanted to see the Yanks win three of four in Arlington but, given the first two losses and the injury front, things could have been worse. Seattle did the yanks a favor, beating TB on a walk-off homer. 5 1/2 back in the East. The Yanks must find a way to take the next to series on the road, a tough task. But they must keep pace.

It was great to see Jeter hit well and I’m very happy that TB lost.

Believe it or not but the Yankees are still in it.

Big win for the Yankees, as they get the split in Texas, and go onto to L.A. for [another] big series with the Angels.
Mike Mussina was brilliant again, earning his 15h win, continuing on the path to his first 20-win season. Mussina and Mariano are def the Yankees MVP’s this year !!!
Also, great to see Derek Jeter and Robinson Cano, both get three hits; and, Johnny Damon continues his hot hitting, with two hits. We need all to stay hot the rest of the way !!!
And, Alex Rodriguez. Well, that’s another story. It just seems he has way too much “other stuff” on his mind. A-Rod [again] had a terrible game, which has been the case over the last few weeks. He has not hit, at all, in the clutch, leaving many runners on base in key situations. A-Rod is hitting a very “soft” .300, and maybe it’s time to sit him down [at least for a couple of games], just to give him a rest, and “clear his head” !!!
Anyway, great 3-0 win for the Yankees. Let’s get a three-game sweep in L.A., to send a message to the Angels, that the Yankees are on a winning path all the way to the playoffs and World Series !!! Go Yankees !!!
