Ponson again impressed me, settling in well after the tough second. The bullpen returned to form. After the two teams combined for 23 walks the first two games of the series, they only issued a walk apiece–good from the Yanks’ side. Great to see the top of the order carry the day, with the #1-3 guys going 6-14. Nice work at the bottom too, with Betemit getting the big RBI double and Molina willing in well for Pudge. Heck of an effort from Pudge to hand onto that ball after a rough collision. That seemed to turn the game around.
Giambi’s homer was a bomb. The Yanks need him big-time.
Need the split; should have been more, but the split will have to do tomorrow. C’mon, Mussina.

I barely watched the game but I’m happy that the Yanks pulled out with the win. I don’t know what I would’ve done had the Yanks lost this one.
Now, they need to keep on winning. Is it too much to ask for a 10 game winning streak? lol.

Here’s the deal with disgraceful player of the game. Every time I posted the disgraceful player of the game, some one would leave a rude comment and other posters would read that and it’s not healthy for them to read. I’m still on the fence with it.
