Yankees’ Curtis Granderson Wizard of Oz’d the Royals!
The New York Yankees won over the Kansas City Royals by a score of 12-6.
There would be no where for Cinderella and Dorothy to go today boys! It was the wicked witch of the West’s turn to win! And win they did.
The Yankees tornadoed through Kansas and tore Oz apart. There were no toys for Oz to give out. Curtis Granderson was in the spotlight. He loves the spotlight. He was the cowardly Lion because the Lion went to Oz to become an actor. An actor Granderson would become. He acted out. He had two home runs while going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI.
Phil Hughes was not his best but good enough to get the job done. He pitched 5.1 innings giving up three runs on six hits for the win. I don’t know what’s going on with Joba giving up a two run home run. He seems to be the weakest link.
This is not a game I get excited about because the Royals are a terrible team. Absolute garbage.
Disgraceful Player of the game: Kerry Wood. How dare you Kerry. How dare you hit A-Rod because you’re scared that he’ll hit number 600 off of you. You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. The way you pitched in the eighth inning was not only a disgrace, but a nightmare.
Congrats to Robinson Cano on his 1000th hit.
