Razzle Fizzle, Yankees lose to the Athletics
The New York Yankees lost to the Oakland Athletics by a score of 8-4. Starting for the Yankees was Darrell Rasner and he did not pitch well giving up 7 runs on 9 hits in 3.1 innings of work for the loss but 1 run was unearned because of a throwing error by Jason Giambi. That error seemed to have shaken Rasner in the 3rd inning. Following Rasner was Ross Ohlendorf and he gave up 1 earned run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. LaTroy Hawkins pitched a perfect 6th inning. Kyle Farnsworth pitched a perfect 7th inning and Edwar Ramirez pitched a scoreless 8th inning. The hitting stars of the game for the Yankees worth mentioning were Bobby BYE BYE Abreu and Jason Giambi. Bobby BYE BYE went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored. Jason Giambi went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 2 rbi’s along with a home run.
The Disgraceful player of the game was Darrell Rasner for quitting in the 3rd inning. That’s not only a disgrace but a nightmare.

Rasner fell apart. He wasn’t mentally strong.

Is this team going to play .500 all year? It seems that way.

Rasner is not going to pitch well every game but it would be nice if this high paying line up could score some runs.
