Pettitte gets bombed but Yanks win
The New York Yankees beat the Kansas City Royals in the bottom of the 9th by a score of 12-11. Starting for the Yankees was Andy Pettitte and he got bombed giving up 10 earned runs on 10 hits in 6.2 innings of work for the no decision. What a disgraceful performance. Following Pettitte was Jose Veras and he pitched 1.1 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit. Mariano Rivera blew the game in the 9th inning but won it giving up 1 earned run on 1 hit. The hitting stars of the game for the Yankees worth mentioning were left-fielder Johnny Damon, third baseman Alex Rodriguez and catcher Jorge Posada. Damon went 6 for 6 with 1 run scored and 4 rbi’s with the game winning single along with a who goes 6 for 6, I can’t believe that line like a Don Johnson Heartbeat type of, home, run, BAAAAAHMB!!! Rodriguez went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi’s along with a big, far, like a Lindsey Buckingham Holiday Road type of home, run BIZZZZZOMB!!! Jorge big ears Posada went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi’s along with a 9th inning, game tying, game spying, I have no idea what that means, I just made it up, the game spying thing type of home, run, BAAAAAAAHMB!!!! The DISGRACEFUL performer of the game was Andy Pettitte. What a true disgrace. Please Andy. Hang it up. You STINK! Also, my internet connection comes and goes and it won’t work in the morning or all night in about 20 more minutes so you won’t be able to get the Daily News and New York Post links.
