Yankees get Led Zeppelined and lose
I always wanted to post something like that. The New York Yankees lost to the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 5-2. Starting for the Yankees was Ian Kennedy and he pitched another poor game giving up 5 earned runs on 5 hits in 5 innings of work for the loss. Latroy Hawkins replaced Kennedy in the 6th inning and was perfect. Jose Veras started the 7th inning and pitched a perfect inning. Edwar Ramirez pitched a perfect 8th inning. The hitting stars of the game for the Yankees worth mentioning were Melky Cabrera and Derek Jeter. Cabrera went 2 for 4 with 1 rbi and Jeter went 2 for 4 with 1 rbi.
