Assets:
Has all the tools you want in a pitcher. He has a great fastball, good curve ball and an outstanding change-up. Strikes out a lot of batters each year, doesn’t walk many and is a durable pitcher.

Negatives:
Loses focus at times and gives up a lot of home runs. Needs to learn how to pitch better in tougher situations.

Outlook:
Production doesn’t live up to talent.

I remember when Vazquez first came into the league, he helped me win a couple of fantasy baseball leagues because he was such a great pitcher. I remember always wanting the Yankees to have him. When he did go to the Yankees, I was telling every one how great he was going to be but it just didn’t work out. It’s mental with him. If he can get into a great frame of mind, he can be very useful for the Yankees.
