C.C. Sabathia blitzed the Rays with powerful blows

April 10th, 2010 Sean S. Posted in 2010 Regular Season, CC Sabathia 4 Comments »

The New York Yankees won over the Tampa Bay Rays by a score of 10-0.

This game was devastation at it’s finest. C.C. was unstoppable. He was bound and determined. He was uncompromising and unforgiven. He was dippin, he was rippin and he was trippin the Rays ALL OVA the place. Did you hear me? All OVA the place!! Some times, when you believe, great things happen, Yankee fans.

What about A-Rod’s and Tex’s plays in the field? Did you FEEL those? A-Rod showed his genius! Sure, C.C. lost the no hitter but those plays were still astonishing, breath taking and beautiful.

Then the Yankees lineup pillaged and dismantled the Tampa Bay Rays pitching. They raided and WRECKED them. They tore them apart. It was like Demolition Derby with the Yankees crashing the Rays against their will. What an awesome display the Yankees’ hitting put on. What a show! They scored 10 runs and every starting player had a run scored or a RBI. Who DOES that? Do you want to know who Yankee fans? *Ahem* The Yankees do THAT. They do this and that.

The Rays got A-Rodded, Texded and Canoed. There’s no question about it. You can’t ask a question because the answer is already there. The answer is domination. It’s supremacy. It’s superiority. The Yankees are all those things to all teams. I hope I taught you well because you’re a good learner.

Then we have the fans at the stadium… My fellow Yankee fans. I’m proud of you. You raided Tropicana Field and made it our home. You gave a “familiar” element to the Yankee players. You greeted, you cheered and you rooted C.C. on after he left the game. That was an awesome display. Thank you. Yankee fans? Welcome aboard.

Can this machine known as the New York Yankees be stopped? I wouldn’t want to be the on standing in front of them. Heh. No way, Jose. They’re just too good. Too special and too great.

C.C. Sabathia is going to restore order and seek carnage

April 10th, 2010 Sean S. Posted in 2010 Regular Season, CC Sabathia No Comments »

C.C. Sabathia is going to restore order against the Tampa Bay Rays. The name of his game will be “Operation Crackdown.” He is going to blitz the Rays with powerful blows all over their bodies. He is going to annihilate the Rays’ order with a 10-to-4 slider an an 11-to-4 curveball and then pump 98 mph fastballs for strike three. He will plunder through their order like a lion ravaging a hyena.

While C.C. Sabathia is destroying the Rays’ batters the Yankees lineup is going to pillage and dismantle Wade Davis and his curveball. It’s going to be an ugly scene but the Yankees got to do what they got to do. It’s going to be no holds barred.

Yankee fans should be forewarned about what they are going to watch and see at 3:10 PM Eastern time. They will witness devastation and slaughter. A demolition if you will. The New York Yankees are going to march into Tropicana Field and ambush the momentum the Rays have developed from the previous night.

C.C. Sabathia – I’d like to see a less work load from him

February 20th, 2010 Sean S. Posted in CC Sabathia No Comments »

C.C. Sabathia has pitched a lot of innings in his career. He doesn’t seem to mind. Says Sabathia… “It’s too soon to even think that way,” Sabathia said. “I feel like I want to take the ball every time, whether it’s on three days’ rest or whatever. I feel like I’m good to go. I’m not worried about saving my arm. Any time I get a chance to go out there and take the ball, I want it.”

Sure, that’s his mentality. He’s a competitor. You’re not going to hear him say that he doesn’t want the ball a lot. That’s understandable but he has thrown a lot of ball up to this point. 1889.1 innings to be exact. He’s pitched over 200 innings three year in a row.

I feel he needs a break. It would be good to see him get skipped a turn in the rotation every once in a while. He pitched into the playoffs and those innings add up.

The good news is that Joe Girardi and pitching coach Dave Eiland are going to give him less innings in the spring which is great news.

Girardi did make a good point. He said that he’s efficient and that he throws 10 – 15 pitches an inning and he doesn’t labor on the mound.

Just remember, we can’t panic if he gets roughed up in spring training because that’s all it is, spring training.

C.C. Sabathia didn’t win the Cy Young but he had a great year

November 17th, 2009 Sean S. Posted in 2009 World Series, CC Sabathia No Comments »

Zack Greinke won the American League 2009 Cy Young Award on Tuesday. A 2.16 ERA which was the best in the majors is pretty amazing especially since he plays in the American League.

It still doesn’t take away the fact that C.C. Sabathia had a great year for the New York Yankees.

He received a contract from the Yankees in the off season that matched his mountainous presence on the mound during the 2009 season. He was the money player the Yankees paid for. He went and earned the ALCS MVP by overpowering the Anaheim Angels during the three games he pitched.

His regular season wasn’t too shabby either going 19-8 with a 3.37 ERA and 197 strikeouts in 230 innings.

Sabathia has gone deep in all of his postseason starts and made three starts in the World Series which gave Joe Girardi the luxury of going with a three-man rotation in the best-of-seven Series if they needed to.

He lost the first World Series game but gave up only two earned runs. He gave up only three earned runs in his second world series start for the Yankees which they won.

In that game he pitched on three days’ rest for the second time in the postseason. Sabathia pitched in and out of jams and kept a threatening Phillies’ offense stalled for most of the night as the Yankees went on to secure a pivotal 7-4 victory. He just got done pitching 113 pitches three days before that.

Him being able to pitch on short days’ rest has earned the confidence and trust of his teammates and earned a level of respect around the Yankee clubhouse.

Right now, I can say with all the confidence in the world that the Yankees are more happy they have a World Championship on their mantle than a pitcher that has a Cy Young award.

I’m not sure I like Sabathia on short rest

October 18th, 2009 Sean S. Posted in 2009 Post Season, CC Sabathia 11 Comments »

Joe Girardi said that he is going to use C.C. Sabathia in game four. The New York Yankees have the advantage with a 2-0 lead but I’d rather have a fresh C.C. than one that might tire out easily. Let’s say the Yankees lose game three, they’ll still be up 2-1. Then you’d have a tired CC pitch game four with a greater chance of losing the game and a 2-2 tie.

I’d rather have C.C. pitch in a series when it’s tied than being up 2-1.

Let’s say the Yankees win tomorrow. Then they’ll be up 3-0 and then you could rest C.C. for game five if they need him.

The bottom line is that I’d rather have a rested C.C. Sabathia than one who is more tired. I like going into a game at full strength.

This fat bitch better not pitch like this in the playoffs

What the hell is this fat pussytoad doing? C.C. Sabathia is laying a big egg. The New York Yankees will not go far if HE doesn’t pitch good.

The only thing left is CC’s 20 wins

October 1st, 2009 Sean S. Posted in 2009 Reg Season, CC Sabathia No Comments »

The regular season isn’t really done for the Yankees. They have to get C.C. Sabathia 20 wins. I wonder if Joe Girardi will put a stronger line up out there tonight to help him get to 20. I would. Every pitcher wants to win 20 games no matter what they say or what any one else says. It’s a magic number. It’s a number that helps you into the hall of fame when your time comes.

I’m Going To The Movies Right Now

My two friends didn’t tell me that they were on their way here. Now they’re both outside of my apartment complex waiting for me. I’d like to get something to eat first. That would be great because I’m starving. Afterwards, I’ll eat popcorn. I don’t like eating popcorn when I don’t eat first.

The Yankees won pretty easily. Nice win. CC was great. I didn’t think that walk he gave up was ball four. My good friend is a red sox fan but I’m not going to say anything to him.

My Family Comes Over A Lot

August 8th, 2009 Sean S. Posted in 2009 Reg Season, CC Sabathia 2 Comments »

My father comes over on Saturday and my mother usually comes over on Tuesday. They have a scheduled life and those days are, “my” turn to spend time with them. My brother visits them on Sunday.

My father is a more die hard Yankee fan than I am. When the Yankees lose, his feelings get hurt. When they lose in the playoffs or don’t make the playoffs, he’s depressed for days. You should of seen my father after he heard the heart of the Red Sox took steroids. It made his life.

Well today, “my” schedule should work out fine. My father will come over and watch a little of the Yankee game and my two friends I knew a long time are coming over later in the evening so we could go to the movies. My friend Joe wants to see the Hangover and my friend Pat(Who’s a Boston Red Sox fan die hard) wouldn’t mind seeing the Hangover either.

I told them I don’t care what we see as long as I get to eat popcorn and no one puts their hands in my bucket.

Yesterday was Boston’s best chance for getting a split in the series because now they have to face Sabathia and Buchholz is not good. If Boston can’t beat the Yankees with their best pitcher, Beckett on the mound, how do they expect to beat the Yankees when they face CC?

I told people that I’m on Facebook with my picture and my facebook name is “yankeesdaily.”
