Best start … ever(Bryan Hoch)

August 16th, 2009 Sean S. Posted in Bryan Hoch's Blog No Comments »

Bryan Hoch from Bombers Beat wrote an article today telling how the Yankees have the best All Star Break run in the history of baseball. He says this…

This is really a remarkable statistic. In all the years of winning Yankees tradition, they have never gotten off to a better start out of the All-Star break than the one they’re enjoying right now — 23 victories in 29 games, and looking to make it one better this afternoon when Joba Chamberlain tries to pitch the Yankees to a four-game sweep of the Mariners.

That’s great and I’m happy the Yankees are off to such a great start but the Yankees spend a trillion dollars on their team. They’re expected to have great starts and win every game. The Yankees should break all kind of records because of the money they spend. They should sweep every one in the playoffs too. Look at the payroll.

Thank you

Thanks to Sidney Ponson for not being just a filler and for being a pitcher the Yankees can count on the rest of the season.

How good has Sidney Ponson been for the Yankees? There were some who believed that he might just be coming in for as little as one start and then booted back on to baseball’s scrap heap. Ponson is no stopgap; he’s a member of this rotation for at least the rest of this season, thanks to efforts like the one he turned in last night to beat the Rangers. – Bryan Hoch

The Yankees are inconsistent

Angels have aurafranciscorodriguez.jpg

The Yankees will win 8 games in a row and then lose 5 of 6. Sidney Ponson, who you wouldn’t think would pitch great against the Angels, does and Mariano loses the game. That all boils down to the I word … inconsistency.

Rodriguez and Molina is better than Molina and Moeller

    Thoughts on the trade

Bryan Hoch, writer for the New York Yankees Official web site, believes that the Yankees are trying to go for it all in 2008 whereas before he wasn’t so sure. He also believes the trade is not a slam dunk because Farnsworth is the reason that we are still not discussing “Joba: Starter or Reliever? — Part XXIV.”
