Babe Ruth’s sale to Yankees turned 90

December 27th, 2009 Sean S. Posted in Babe Ruth 1 Comment »

Yesterday, the sale of Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees from the Boston Red Sox turned 90 years old. If it wasn’t for steroids, I bet the curse would still be going strong. I know the Yankees and Red Sox have both taken steroids but on an even playing field, I don’t think the Red Sox win any World Series.

If Babe Ruth was never traded to the New York Yankees, he would of been a pitcher his whole career and never turned into the home run star he became. He would of been a Hall of Fame pitcher which is amazing when you think about it.

Here’s a good link to an article about the sale turning 90…

Babe Ruth Is At The New Stadium

I just got back from the movies. My father and I wanted to go see Terminator but it played too late so we wound up seeing a movie about John Travolta trying to high jack a train. It was ok.

Last night was just what the doctor ordered. I’ll take a win whichever way it comes. If a player drops a ball, that counts as part of the opposing team’s performance. The player dropped it so the opposing team did worse than the Yankees and lost. You can say they deserved to lose because he didn’t make a play.

While the play was happening, I noticed the wind seemed to take the ball a little. That really wasn’t wind. That was Babe Ruth. He moved over from the old building and now has decided to watch over the Yankees again. Castillo was trying his hardest to catch the ball but the Babe made it impossible for him to catch. He decided to give us a break. If you don’t think the Babe is at the new stadium, wait until the playoffs start. You’re going to see miracles.
