Going out for a chicken cutlet sandwich

January 2nd, 2010 Sean S. Posted in Yankee Fans No Comments »

I know it’s not Yankee news but I couldn’t help but brag that I’m going out to eat and I’m getting a Chicken Cutlet sandwich. I will be going to Avellino’s in East Hanover N.J. It’s an Italian pizza parlor but they have great sandwiches.

I’m going to get lettuce on it with vinegar on the side.

It’s Been A Long Day

August 2nd, 2009 Sean S. Posted in Yankee Fans No Comments »

It’s been a long weekend. Tomorrow I won’t be able to post anything until I get home late so I’ll post a Yankees Girl of the Day tomorrow morning. The Yankees have off so I want to get something off of my chest for the late afternoon. Sleep Tight. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.

I start vacation tomorrow

July 3rd, 2009 Sean S. Posted in Yankee Blogs, Yankee Fans No Comments »

I leave tomorrow for vacation because I’m going on a cruise. I know some take my minor league box scores and post them other places. I might log in from the cruise just to do the minor league scores. I’ll see what kind of service they offer. I’m going on a cruise to Canada. I’m not sure I want to go but the more I think about all the food on board, the more I want to.

I’ll be leaving Saturday the 4rth to Thursday the 9th. I know how much this blog means to some people and how much it affects your life and how it’s your religion but your god will be back with pictures and video.

No story today. I’m going to my father’s house to be with him. I’ll be back later to describe the game and the minor league box scores and to finish answering more posts from before.

Why should we keep watching the Yankees?

September 5th, 2008 Sean S. Posted in Fantasy Baseball, Yankee Fans 5 Comments »

Yankees

I’m keep asking myself this question. If I’m a fan, why should I keep watching? Especially on a Sunday when the Giants are playing. Wow. Talk about being dead in Yankee land when the Super Bowl Giants were playing their first game of the season. They played at the same time as the Yankees. First, if you’re a real fan, you watch because the Yankees are your favorite team. You watch because you get to see young players from our farm play in more games than usual since the Yankees are on life support. Most fans like to see farm hands get an opportunity to play. Well, what if I’m a bandwagon fan, Sean? If you’re a bandwagon fan, you’re a loser. It’s that simple.

You should watch the Yankees because you want to see Derek Jeter pass Babe Ruth who’s second on the all time Yankee hit record. You should also watch because you want to see Derek Jeter break the all time hit record at Yankee stadium. I actually forgot who holds the record. I think it’s Lou Gehrig. You also have Mike Mussina going for 20 wins and he’s going to be real close. It’s not like the Yankees will have to rest him for the playoffs.

Let’s say the Yankees are out of the playoffs by the time they play the Red Sox the last 3 games of the season. You’re telling me that you’re not going to watch it? Come on, it’s the Red Sox! Unless it’s a preseason game, all Yankee-Red Sox games are must see tv.

I’d really like to thank the lord or karma for not letting me be friends with any Met fans. I was friends with one around the year 2000 and he was really annoying. All he did was put the Mets in my face especially in the world series. It’s pretty stressful being good friends with some one when they are big time fans of another team that rivals your team. I moved so I haven’t seen him since.

Back on point. Here’s the best reason to watch the Yankees the rest of this year. The Red Sox. They have a history of choking and you just never know with them.

The New York Giants haven’t played in New York for 31 years and the New England Patriots haven’t played in Boston for 36 years but the local fans are still loyal.

I can tell you that this won’t go over well in Cleveland. I’m sure Knick fans are happy about it.
