Which A.J. Burnett is going to show up? I have a feeling that he’ll be the same pitcher we’ve seen all year… inconsistent. In some games, he’ll pitch great and others he’ll get rocked.

Which Alex Rodriguez is going to show up? The same old A-Rod that we see in the post season every year or the A-Rod that has been getting clutch hits during the regular season?

The pitching it better in the post season because you face the teams that have better records because they had better pitching.

A-Rod has not won me over because of his big hits in the regular season. If he gets big hits in the post season for the New York Yankees and doesn’t do his purse slapping, all will be forgiven.

I have a feeling it’s going to be Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees in the ALCS. The Yankees will most likely play the Tigers or Twins in the first round and the Red Sox will play the Angels. The Yankees should beat the Tigers or Twins easily. It doesn’t matter which team they play. I don’t care if the Tigers have Edwin Jackson or Verlander. They haven’t beaten the Yankees all year. I don’t see that changing in the playoffs. The Red Sox always have an easy time with the Angels.

That leaves two heavy weights to see who goes to the World Series. I know a lot of people across the country don’t like the fact that the Yankees and Red Sox are good every year but I don’t care about those people. I like the fact that the Red Sox are good enough to challenge the Yankees year in and year out. It makes baseball a lot of fun.

It also makes for a lot of story lines.

In the National League I’d like to see the Dodgers play whoever. As long as the Dodgers play in the NLCS I’ll be happy. I’m rooting for Joe Torre and I’d love to see a Yankees-Dodgers World Series. Tell me that wouldn’t be one of the biggest World Series we’ve had in a long time.
